Our Goldfields Golf Club Junior program is available to players aged 3 to 17 to learn and enjoy golf in a safe and friendly environment.
Beginner Lessons
The Goldfields Golf Club runs weekly Mixed and Girls Classes during the four school terms on Sunday morning, Monday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoons (subject to change).
The sessions are designed to provide an opportunity to learn in an easy-going environment and are open to both Members and non-Members of the GGC. Registration is on a term-by-term basis with sessions held either on the practice range, the short game facility or on the golf course.
Current charges are $18 per class ($108 6-week Term). Current Members can join in for FREE with their membership, but please get in touch to reserve a place in a class as numbers are limited to 10 students.
All sessions are conducted by qualified PGA Professionals and all equipment is available to borrow free of charge. Equipment is also available for purchase from the Proshop if preferred.

Short Course Program
Our junior programs form a great pathway to membership at the GGC, and part of the process to improvement if they choose to become a member is getting them out on the course. Our new short course program includes 5 distance levels from which a junior can aim to score 45 or less for nine holes before progressing to the next level and earning a recognition pin for their hat/bag.
Modified scoring rules aim to make the game more enjoyable for beginners, and it helps to keep the game moving.
Once the junior has completed all levels, they’re ready for play from the rated yellow course and can then start the process of gaining their handicap for competition play.
Remember to pick up a Junior/Beginner Score Card at the Proshop before you tee off!
Membership
Junior Membership at the GGC comes with great incentives! Juniors have access to the golf course year round, FREE junior classes with our PGA Professionals, the right to earn a handicap and play competition golf, access to prestigious reciprocal courses across Australia, a FREE logoed junior shirt, and discounts on beverages purchased at the course.
