In October, the Kalgoorlie Golf Course proudly hosted the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder WA PGA Championship, presented by TX Civil and Logistics.
The championship brought together some of Australia’s finest golfing talent, showcasing skill, determination, and the unique beauty of our course.
Austin Bautista claimed victory with an impressive four-round total of 14 under par (66-72-66-70). His consistency and composure across the tournament secured him the title, edging out Jay Mackenzie, who finished just one shot behind at 13 under par.
The success of the championship was made possible by the incredible support of the Goldfields Golf Club members. More than 45 volunteers generously gave their time and energy, ensuring the event ran smoothly and creating a welcoming atmosphere for players, officials, and spectators alike.
This tournament not only highlighted world-class golf but also celebrated the strength of our local community. The Goldfields Golf Club is proud to have played a key role in delivering such a memorable event, reinforcing Kalgoorlie’s reputation as a premier golfing destination.
A huge congratulations to Tina Potts from Esperance, who was crowned the 2025 Blue Spec Drilling Goldfields Ladies Open winner on 9th November at the Kalgoorlie Golf Course!
With a phenomenal 83 points over two rounds, Tina delivered a standout performance that had everyone talking.
Known for her big-hitting style and love of wide-open fairways, Tina made the most of our course’s sweeping layout and the scoreboard showed it!
And here’s a fun fact: that’s three years in a row our Ladies Open winner has hailed from Esperance.
Well played, Tina! We hope to see you back next year defending your title.
Next year’s Blue Spec Drilling Goldfields Ladies Open will be played on 13th, 14th and 15th of November 2026.

The Goldfields Ladies Open Committee managed to raise $5000 for the Goldfields Palliative Care Unit at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital during the 2021 tournament.

The 2025 GGC Pennants Season has officially wrapped, and it’s the Broad Arrow Bushrangers who’ve stormed to victory, claiming their second flag in just three years. With a powerhouse performance in the final, they overcame the formidable Ora Banda Winders, who had sailed undefeated through the first three rounds.
It’s a season full of twists. After two years clutching the wooden spoon, the Ora Banda Winders passed the dubious honour on to the Kookynie Miners—last year’s finalists in a dramatic fall from grace. Competitive spirit was alive and well across all teams, showcasing the heart and grit that define GGC Pennants.
A massive thank you to our local legends who keep the wheels turning:
Here’s to another fierce and fun-filled season in 2026.
